• Contracted to Lucent Technologies Government Solutions team as the OSP Lead Engineer for the USAFE (United States Air Force Europe) CITS (Combat Information Transport System) turnkey implementation project at Ramstein Air Base• Monitored subcontractor construction of 17+ miles of a “metro” manhole and conduit system, maxcell installation, 40+ miles of FOC (fiber optic cable), installation of direct bury markers, and reuse of existing FOC - as well as installation of equipment cabinets and FOC termination to 300+ buildings• Coordinated utility location meetings with Air Base personnel, coordination for repair of utility strikes, generated weekly OSP progress updates.• Inspected overall construction quality of all new manhole installations, building entry penetrations, and entry-pull boxes for project acceptance and to ensure FOC was racked and tagged properly• QC’d and updated electronic engineering drawings using Microstation J and MS Visio as well as updated 400+ manhole butterfly drawings, QC’d and analyzed subcontractor power meter and OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) results for acceptance of newly installed fiber optic cable• Surveyed end user buildings for building entry penetrations and cabinet locations.
